What can I wear under a jilbab?

The best thing about wearing a jilbab is that you need minimal clothing to wear under. This is great, especially for summer. We all know how Australia weather can be like, winter in the morning and summer by avo. Jilbabs are great to overlay with cardigans, scarfs or jackets and still be prepared if the weather changes ti Warmer temperatures during the day since you’re wearing minimal clothing under.

I’m going to show you some of the most comfortable clothing pieces you can wear under your jilbab. Some of them might surprise you.

  1. Bonds very opaque Stockings: great for cover up from the feet up.
  2. Basic crop tops: if you love your sleeved jilbabs, crop tops are all you need to wear under.
  3. Stretchy Jumpsuit: the ultimate comfort, super stretchy and easy to wear.
  4. wide leg pants: Great combo with the shorter length jilbabs, especially if you don’t like wearing skirts.
  5. Maxi bodycon dress: wearing a bodycon dress under a jilbab is like wearing spanx under a dress. It keeps everything together

Jilbabs are too heavy for me:

Over the years Jilbabs have evolved with different styles being introduced accomodating to everyone’s style and practicality. It’s normal to find Jilbabs heavy to wear especially if you’re sensitive to weight on your neck or back. If you fall into this category here are some styles suitable for your needs.

  • coat style: you can always dress it up with an abayah. Coat styles are known to be the lightest jilbab we have in our collection.
  • petite style: this style all excess material from the sides ( also known as bat wings) are cut to make the jilbab more fitted and lighter.
  • standard style with skirt: great for on the go mums! They are super light and have built in sleeves. Gives you the freedom to use your hands without worrying about carrying the jilbabs weight.

We would love to hear your experience on wearing a jilbab. Are you finding it challenging? And if so how do you overcome them.
